Texas Local Council Covenant of the Goddess
Texas Local Council Covenant of the Goddess

The Covenant of the Goddess was founded in 1975 to foster cooperation among Witches and to secure for Witches and Wiccans the legal protection enjoyed by members of other religions, to issue clergy credentials and to educate the public about Wicca and Witchcraft.  Since its formation, it has also taken an active and prominent role in interfaith work. For more about CoG, see the National CoG website at www.cog.org.

The Texas Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess was codified by the Covenant in 1995 and serves North Texas and the surrounding areas. Since the Texas Local Council formed, our mission has been to serve our North Texas Pagan and Wiccan community with education and representation by presenting and sponsoring public rituals and Wicca 101 Classes.

We are also active in supporting local Pagan Unity festivals Pagan Pride Day celebrations and sponsor and present public Sabbat rituals and Wicca 101 classes in two locations across the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Our council meets four times a year from January through October for local business planning. We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM and our 2017 schedule will be as follows:

  • January 15
  • March 26
  • June 4

The Texas Local Council of Covenant of the Goddess follows a Code Of Ethics:

An ye harm none, do as ye will.

Witches within CoG agree on an ethical code known as the Wiccan Rede, "An it harm none, do what ye will," which honors the freedom of each individual to do what one believes is right, but also recognizes the profound responsibility that none may be harmed by one's actions.
