What is Covenant of the Goddess?

CoG is a consensus-based group of Wiccan and Witchcraft covens, groves, groups, and solitary individual members mostly based in the United States. It was formed on October 31, 1975 to foster and practice the spiritual teachings of its member groups, to facilitate communication between its member groups, to issue clergy credentials and to educate the public about Wicca and Witchcraft. Since its formation, it has also taken an active and prominent role in interfaith work. We celebrated our 45th Anniversary on Samhain, 2020!

The Covenant of the Goddess envisions a world where all living beings are honored and cherished as manifestations of the Sacred.

Mission Statement

We, the Covenant of the Goddess, through interfaith action, education, advocacy, and resource sharing, empower Witches and Wiccans to strengthen, protect, and enrich our religion, society, and the Earth.
